An old Hanseatic League member, and a new, innovative centre of business and industry is looking for Investors
The existence of Gardelegen was first documented in 1196. Thanks to the practical common sense of its townspeople and the commercial acumen of its merchenis and craftsman, the town's development over its 800-year history has been very successful.
The famous Gardelegen Garley-Beer has been enjoyed throughout that time. It enlivens, it consoles, it lends spirit to so many celebrations up and down the land.
Oncle again, Gardelegen its standing at the threshold of properity. Ancient artefacts are being painstakingly restored.
The town is hallmarked by the presence of many medium-sized undertakings from the precision industries, building components, furniture manufacturing, food production, transport and energy producing on the one hand, and on the other hand, it has maintained its tradition as a shopping centre.
To cater for the anticipated growth in economic and industrial demand, services were laid, from 1994, to a 28 hectare (roughly 70 acre) site for an industrial estate, using federal and regional funds. Areas are available within this site for occupation. Two important features of the estate are that it is fully serviced, and-this is often the clinching factor-that it lies immediately adjacent to the bypass for the B 188 and B 71. Thanks to the effluent treatment plant about 2.5 km (1.6 miles) distant, which is able to cope with protein-laden effluent, the location is ideal for the food industry, specially plant for processing meat, and for processing raw materials from agricultural and forestry sources. The business climate in Sachsen-Anhalt, with its friendly disposition towards the Investor, will make the decision to locate in the Gardelegen industrial estate an easy one. We will be at your side to assist from initial application, trough ministerial procedures, purchase of the land and including attaining your building permit.
For the buildings, a factor of 0.7 of the surface area which may be built on is laid down, white an factor of 2.1 storeys is laid down for the height of buildings. Service infrastructure is, as already stated, in place. In terms of road transport, there is direct access to the B 188 / B 71. Access to the A 2 Motorway is 50 km either to Wolfsburg or Magdeburg. Is addition, Gardelegen has a special landing strip to the west, in the triangle formet by the B 71 and B 188.
